Hard Truth Distillery

Lately…Life has been good; and life has also really sucked. I’m struggling to post this but my mom loved looking forward to our “what’s new weekend” posts and pictures.

We went to Hard Truth Distillery in Brown County last weekend — the same weekend that she passed away. In the midst of all the “horribly awful” I am so thankful for Chris Thornberry who sweeps me away to enjoy the “wonderfully awesome.”

The grounds were beautiful and I’d love to go back later in the fall! They offer a few different tours, but we opted for the quick walking tour which included a tasting of 4 of their bourbons… and then had lunch at their Big Woods Restaurant (not new to us!)

They also had a special (they saw me coming!) if you bought a bottle of Sweet Mash Rye you got a free bottle of Maple Bourbon Cream!

I highly recommend visiting, taking one of their tours and enjoying a meal at their restaurant. I can’t wait to go back when we have time to experience more!
