Late to post our What’s New Weekend update!! Chris and I made a few stops last Saturday and Sunday… our first was a visit to Danville Dips. The location was a cute and comfy little corner shop in downtown Danville. I tried one of their summer shakes, the sparkling piña colada. Chris ordered a heath and Andes dipster which is like blizzard. Cute little place but we weren’t incredibly thrilled with our choices. I couldn’t really taste the piña… and Chris had more candy than ice cream.
Sunday we went to Fern Cliff Nature Preserve in Greencastle (thx for the rec Michelle Brezko Gibson)! It was such a hot day but the hike was short and nicely shaded with some cool scenery!
Our intentions when we left the nature preserve were to find some ice cream to make up for our disappointing stop on Saturday. After parking in downtown Greencastle we saw a “burger” sign and quickly changed our minds about our post hike treat! As you can see from my smile in the pic… a good burger just makes me happy! They have a special sauce and it was soooo good. We don’t really frequent Greencastle but I’d go back just for Taphouse Burger!
